Membership is open to technology companies, ICT educators, associations, offshore firms, startups and individual professionals connected to the Northern Province.
The application form
Applications are made on the chamber’s form and returned to the secretariat. The form is published in both English and Tamil.
Membership categories
The classes of membership set out in the chamber bylaws, and who each one is for.
Full Membership
Registered or approved IT organisations with a head office in the Northern Province.
Offshore Membership
Offshore companies operating a branch office in the Northern Province.
Association Membership
Non-profit organisations based in the Northern Province.
Professional Individual
Individual IT experts, academics and consultants.
Freelancer Membership
Freelancers, and unregistered or virtual companies.
Student Membership
Students enrolled in an ICT programme.
The annual fee differs by category. The secretariat issues an invoice once an application is approved. See the member directory for the organisations currently listed.
How an application is handled
From choosing a category to activation.

Choose a category
Pick the membership class your organisation or profile is eligible for.
- Step 2
Complete the form
Download the form in English or Tamil and fill it in with your supporting documents.
- Step 3
Pay the membership fee
Ask the secretariat for the fee for your category and the payment details, then keep the receipt.
- Step 4
Email the form and the receipt together
Send the completed form, your supporting documents and the payment receipt in one email. An application without the receipt waits.
- Step 5
Verification
The secretariat checks the documents against the eligibility rules in the bylaws and confirms the payment.
- Step 6
Approval and activation
The board approves the application and the membership is activated.
